Summer Solstice Yoga Practice
After the Summer Sun Salute Workshop in Whittle on Sunday, I've had requests to share the functional version of the Sun Salute with the attendees so they can practice on the Solstice. Et voila! Ici la!
The tantric bija mantra for the sun we shared was:
Om Sum Suryaya Namaha!
This is what I shall be teaching online in my Dynamic Yoga class at 6.45pm on Wednesday evening, and I'll be practicing it on Thursday night while Ross is teaching.
I'll be doing the super accessible version we practiced first for my online Therapeutic Yoga class on Friday morning at 10am.
If you want to join in with me on Weds, or Friday, you can book a single class @ https://feelnowyoga.com/online-yoga
If you prefer your own practice, but would like to still join in with the energy of knowing others will be practising at the same time, I will be doing the practice below between 7-8pm on Thursday night.
I'm going for 27 of them with a mantra before each one. After following an appropriate gradual vinyasa krama introducing each of the skills required individually of course, and maybe throwing in some ashtanga versions towards the end. I quite enjoyed them on Sunday!
Wishing summer solstice sunshine for you all! :)
