The first question we should ask ourselves as we venture out on any pathway to freedom is "what are we liberating ourselves from?"
Sometimes we can liberate ourselves from things that we perceive to be holding us back, only to realise, only too late, that these things were actually giving us support.
There is nowhere where this is more true than the spine. Whilst it is useful to liberate our spines from habituated tendencies that cause us discomfort or pain, we must be careful to not liberate our spines from their ability to support us and the functional habitual tendencies that generate that support.
So do not try too hard to make movement happen. Its much more about finding the support that allows movement to happen freely without trying.
