Relax, Release and Recalibrate (AUDIO 2020)

£6.00

Relax, Release and Recalibrate.

A sensitive and somatic enquiry into the possibility of cultivating harmonious relationships between all the moving parts of your body, whilst synchronising your movements with your breath.

This 30 minute floor based practice audio provides you with:

  • a relaxation to tune into how you are feeling physically, mentally and emotionally.

  • a joint sensitisation practice to attune your attention to the quality of movement in your joints.

  • an integrated full body movement and breath practice, that recalibrates and integrates your movement patterns to promote harmonious relationships between the moving parts of your body.

This practice is suitable for everyone, regardless of fitness levels and previous yoga experience. If you can get down to lie on the floor, you will be able to join in easily, as you remain lying down throughout the whole 30 minutes.

The instructions are given in a few different ways, so that even people who have never worked with Debbie before can access the practice. Do not worry if you do not understand everything straight away. this practice is exploratory in places and gives you opportunity and time to make adjustments based on how you feel. Some people have to listen to the file a few times before the instructions land in their body in a way that makes sense to their mind. That’s the beauty of an audio file, you can replay it as often as you like.

There is no set way that this practice should look in your body. This is a somatic, exploratory style of yoga that is more interested in how you feel, than making shapes.

It is a subtle and sensitive practice. It is not physically strenuous, although mentally it will require concentration, but that is what makes the practice a moving meditation.

Because the relaxation is at the beginning and the movements are at the end, once the session is finished you can get up and go about your daily life, using this practice as a break to reduce stress.

The practice is not an energising one, so it is also suitable just before bed to help you get a good night’s sleep.

You can also use this practice as a preparation for a more physical session. The practice attunes you to the subtleties of your physical, mental and emotional self, so that you can begin your practice with deeper awareness and sensitivity.
